The sea bath at the north pier was built for the town and closed when its steps and ladders became unsafe. A group of neighbors is restoring it: new steps into the water, a wood-fired sauna on the pier and a changing room, run by volunteers and open to anyone who wants to swim.
The project
The old ladders are out and the new ones are being made in hardwood and stainless steel.

A small timber sauna for eight people, with a wood-burning stove and a view of the harbor.

Wood-fired, because the town has the wood and the volunteers to keep it lit.
A dry place to change and leave your things, with hooks, benches and a bench by the door for wet feet. Built from timber left over from the sauna.
